Palestinian-led Coalition Unites Over 60 Movement Organizations to Stop Arming Israel
Oct 27
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, DC, October 27, 2026—The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action (USCPR Action) is proud to announce the launch of the Palestinian-led Stop Arming Israel Coalition, which will unite over 60 national organizations and local grassroots groups in a shared commitment for Palestinian freedom and collective liberation.
“In the face of rising fascism, we need to move strategically, and we need a united front,” said USCPR Action Executive Director Ahmad Abuznaid. “I can’t emphasize enough how important the Stop Arming Israel Coalition will be to align on strategy, to divest from apartheid and genocide, and to unite the powerful movement of millions of Americans advocating for Palestinian freedom.”
The Stop Arming Israel Coalition is steered by a committee of Palestinian-led organizations and Palestinian movement leaders, and convened by the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action (USCPR Action). It serves as a strategic space for movement organizations to collaborate on critical campaigns through regular calls and working groups.
60% of the American public opposes sending more military funding to Israel.¹ Pro-Palestine political candidates are winning at the polls after massive marches, demonstrations, and boycott and divestment campaigns took off across the country. Still the U.S. government has armed, supplied, backed, and participated in Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people every step of the way. Since October 2023, the U.S. has announced sending nearly $40 billion of our federal tax dollars in military funding to Israel.²
Each of the 60 organizations in this coalition are fighting to put U.S. tax dollars to good use to fund care for our communities, such as healthcare and housing, instead of arming the Israeli military and other forms of state violence.
The coalition is grounded in a vision for a free Palestine, including the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and to return to their native land.
“Trump thinks he can stamp out resistance by criminalizing dissent and manufacturing chaos,” said Abuznaid. “History tells us that won’t work. The 60 organizations in the Stop Arming Israel Coalition represent a diverse mass movement of millions of Americans who are fighting to end this U.S.-funded genocide against the Palestinian people. Our solidarity is our greatest strength, and we realize our true power when we unite and fight back.”

Quotes from coalition member organizations
“The announcement of the Stop Arming Israel Coalition is a powerful step forward for the pro-Palestine movement, which has galvanized thousands across the US. We need to build on widespread outrage at Israel's conduct in Palestine and through the region by securing concrete policy and accountability measures that end complicity and punish this rogue state. With the launch of this coalition that brings together a diverse array of Palestinian and community groups, we’re a step closer to that.” -Taher Dahleh, Palestinian Youth Movement
“For over three years, our communities have watched in horror as Israel devastates Palestinians and their land with bombardment and endless, unsustainable resource extraction. Youth Climate Finance Alliance and our vast network of climate-conscious youth are proud to join the Stop Arming Israel coalition in unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people.” -Isabella Guinigundo, Communications Director at Youth Climate Finance Alliance
"As an org rooted in Palestinian Christian liberation theology, Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA) joins this coalition to participate in the larger work of corroding imperial power and building up local collectives at home. Liberation theology teaches us that faith in the face of empire calls us toward God's preferential option for the occupied. May we live into that call by joining our partners in this work." -Rev. Addie Domske, National Field Organizer at Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA)
"CODEPINK is honored to be a part of this historic coalition where Palestinian liberation can be at the forefront of collective national organizing. We hope to work in partnership with this coalition to fund our communities, not the war economy, and for the ultimate freedom of Palestine from Israeli and U.S. colonialism." -Jenin, Palestine Campaign Lead at CODEPINK
"Over the past three years, millions of people around the world have made it abundantly clear that the majority stands with Palestine and against the genocide Israel is carrying out with the full backing of the U.S. government. We will continue to build the movement for an end to war and genocide funded by our U.S. tax dollars, and for a free Palestine!" -Layan Fuleihan, Education Director at The People's Forum
“The Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine believes water is a human right, but Israel has consistently used it as a weapon of oppression. We are thrilled to be part of the STOP ARMING ISRAEL COALITION where our voice will be amplified with so many others.” -Pam Rogers, Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine
“Breaking the Firewall (BTF) is pleased to join this coalition to sharpen our collective transnational analysis and strategy and to collaborate across campaigns focusing on military technology and supply chain logistics. As an Irish diasporic organization focused on breaking down silos, we believe it is more important than ever to fortify our movements from the fragmentation that arises when colonialism and imperialism seek to divide us. Saoirse don Phalaistín!” -Breaking the Firewall
“For decades, the Palestinian people have resisted a campaign of annihilation, led by the illegitimate state of Israel and backed by the United States empire. It is a totally asymmetric war, fought by the bravest people on earth. No one here will free Palestine, but by halting the flow of US weapons to Israel, we can help make it a fairer fight.
We are honored to support this campaign to disarm the Israeli occupation, and thereby hasten the victory—the liberation of Palestine—that is to come.” -Writers Against the War on Gaza
“18 Million Rising is a political home for Asian Americans that builds power to challenge techno-fascism and imperialism here and abroad. We know well the histories of state-sanctioned violence through colonialism, the ongoing occupation and destruction of our homelands, with bombs and technology funded by U.S. tax dollars. We are excited at this new formation of the Stop Arming Israel coalition that is consolidating our anti-war movement to forge new connections and experiment with campaigns to strengthen our unwavering commitment to the people of Palestine. Our responsibility is to galvanize the public through banners like Asians for Palestine to bring the demands of ending aid to Israel and an immediate arms embargo. We see the long term struggle to end the U.S.-Israeli occupation of Palestine as a fight that is rooted in fighting for our neighborhoods to be safe from militarized violence, and invest in the needs of our communities.” -Sharmin Hossain, Organizing Director at 18 Million Rising
